Hide History

If the pages you have viewed on our site are of a sensitive nature  follow our simple, step by step guide on hiding your browsers history.

First select your browser:

If your browser is not listed above, please let us know and we will add it to the list.

Internet explorer 9

  1. Click the cog icon on the top right hand side. A pop-up will appear click internet options.
  2. With the general tab open, find the label "Browsing History" and click delete. 
  3. From here you can choose a number of options to keep your browsing private. Place check boxes next to the items you wish to remove and click Delete to cover your tracks.

  1. Access your browser's Tools menu, which is located in the top menu bar of the browser. Click on Tools and then choose Delete Browsing History from the drop-down menu.
  2. Choose the appropriate button on the pop-up box. It gives various options, such as clearing out your temporary Internet files and passwords, but your safest bet is to clear out everything in the history. You can do so by clicking on the Delete All button at the bottom of the window. You then get a second pop-up window that asks you to confirm that you really want to delete all of your history. Click OK.

  1. Click Tools in the top menu bar of Internet Explorer 6.
  2. Select Internet Options from the list that appears.

    The Internet Options dialog box appears.

  3. Make sure the General tab is selected.
  4. The third section down is called History. In this section there is a Clear History button. Click it.
  5. A dialog box will pop up asking you to confirm that you wish to delete your web browser history, click Yes.
  6. An hour glass will appear indicating that the history is being deleted. This may take a while if you have done lots of surfing.
  7. When the hour glass disappears your web browser history has been cleared. Click Ok to close the Internet Options dialog box.

safari (mac)

  1. Select Safari from the menu bar. 
  2. From the drop-down list select Reset Safari
  3. From here you can opt to clear/delete/reset a lot of the information that Safari stores. Be careful not to erase or reset things that you didn’t want cleared. Make sure there are check marks next to the items that you to do want to delete, clear or reset. Click the Reset button when you’re done.

  1. Click settings in the toolbar and select Delete Private Data.

  2. Click the Delete button to delete all private data. If you wish to select which data to delete click the 'Detailed Options' arrow and tick the boxes next to the items that you wish to delete.

  1. Click the wrench (spanner) icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select Clear browsing data.

  1. On the menu bar, click the Tools menu, and select Clear Recent History....
  2. Select how much history you want to clear:
  3. Click the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear to choose how much of your history Firefox will clear.
  4. Next, click the arrow next to Details to select exactly what information will get cleared.
  5. Finally, click the Clear Now button and the window will close and the items you've selected will be cleared.
