New Bike Helmet Website
Motorcyclists are at particular risk of injury on the roads, protective clothing is one of the best ways of reducing that risk. Investing in a good helmet- one that fits- is an essential step, and remember, most manufacturers only consider their helmets good for three years.
The Road Safety Minister has announced a new website for the Department of Health and Transport, advising on the choice of motorcycle helmets and rating models in respect of their safety. This site also includes information about the way helmets are tested and in particular, how to make sure your motorbike helmet fits properly. The website can be found at www.direct.gov.uk/sharp
