Tony Griffin
Consultant
Tony Griffin qualified as a solicitor in 1975 having done a law degree at Lincoln College, Oxford and having completed his articles in a large city firm. He decided to go for a more personal kind of legal practice and after a year working in Mexico, came home and worked for 5 years in Brighton before moving to Cartridges in 1981. He has been here ever since. He describes the decision to move to Devon as one of the best he ever made. He has been a partner in Cartridges and the head of the Civil Litigation Department from 1984 to July 2011 when he 'retired' to be a consultant Solicitor in the firm. He has specialised in personal injury and housing work for over 30 years but also has a wide range of experience in other areas of civil litigation as described elsewhere in this website.
Tony believes strongly that Cartridges should be a firm that ensures that access to justice is available for all, particularly for those who are normally socially excluded or disadvantaged in legal processes.
Tony speaks French and Spanish well. He plays the flute badly. He enjoys being with friends, walking on the wonderful moor or the fabulous Devon coast, being outdoors and working with wood.
